Figured Leaders in Agri Finance Summit – Auckland

Last week farm financial management software company Figured hosted a two day “Figured Leaders in Agri Finance Summit” in Auckland, New Zealand. Pete, Nicolette and Sarah were invited to attend, with Pete participating in a panel discussion on where we are at today as providers of agri services.

The Summit gathered a select group of leaders from firms across New Zealand and Australia to come together to be informed, inspired and motivated about the future of agri advisory. Pete did an excellent job representing PrincipleFocus and articulating the way we work with farming families.

The first day also included panel discussions on the future of technology for agri accounting and financial services, the direction and future role of finance, and the forces shaping the future of agriculture. We heard from fellow accountants, farmers, financiers, industry and government representatives, technology experts and sustainability specialists. Key themes were;

  • the importance of people – it is our humanity that will always be needed, even as we move into a more technologically advanced world

  • expect exponential growth from generative artificial intelligence, the tools will only get smarter from here,

  • emissions reporting is coming and the data will be required

The first day sessions finished by hearing from Figured about the innovations they are looking to release on their platform, both from the aspects of getting information into Figured and workflows within Figured.

The second day involved workshops where we were able to network with peers and were challenged to think through the impact of artificial intelligence and automation technology on the delivery of our services in the future, how we continue to attract, retain, and develop the right people, and what are our key value drivers, growth leavers and risk management strategies.

At PrincipleFocus we continue to be focused on your current business while helping you navigate the emerging trends and opportunities ahead. Please be in touch if you would like to talk about this.
