  • We are seeking a self-directed, authentic and focused Client Administration Coordinator to join our team. Your role will be to enable the accounting team to be accountants by owning and continually improving client service coordination and to deliver a positive experience for our clients.

    Success is observed by response times to customers, customer satisfaction, the adherence of PrincipleFocus to its client commitments and the satisfaction of internal customers (the accountants).

    Responsibilities include:

    • Undertake the administrative functions of the accounting work

    • Liaising with clients to gather all required information in a timely manner

    • Coordinating, managing, and reporting on workflow outcomes.

    • Coordinating, managing, and reporting tax office lodgment requirements.

    • Client information coordination including preparing and obtaining client checklists, reviewing documentation received for completeness, scanning, and saving documentation and liaison with accounting team members.

    • Implementation of existing systems to achieve the maximum efficiency within the business, which includes continuing to drive the implementation of systems, to investigate and implement all possible efficiencies in process. 

    • Maintain associated systems in compliance with documented procedures and as directed by supervising Accountant.

    • Lodgment of tax returns, IAS & BAS

    • Preparation of correspondence and communications with clients advising them of tax registrations, assessments, and tax liabilities. 

    • Prepare company, partnership, and trust minutes.

    • Maintaining & lodging of ASIC requirements for clients

    Essential skills:

    • Experience within a professional service firm is highly desirable

    • Experience with Xero would be an advantage

    • Demonstrated skills in business communication and teamwork.

    • Demonstrated strong customer service skills.

    • Demonstrated skills in high levels of organisation and problem solving.

    • Proven experience in a professional office environment

    • Advanced level of skill with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications.

  • We are seeking a self-directed, authentic and focused Senior Accountant to join our team. Ideally based in central NSW, however, we are also open to candidates across Australia who can work remotely and have the ability make the trip to Dubbo once a quarter. Reporting directly to the Senior Advisor, your role will be to:

    • Develop and maintain excellent support, communication, and management of a discrete client base.

    • Identify and follow up opportunities to add value for clients and for PrincipleFocus.

    • Work collaboratively with the team, to support each other and to grow and advance our business.

    • Support clients with regular management accounting & reporting for complex farming entities.

    • Prepare pre-June tax estimates for clients.

    • Review and finalise year-end financial statements and tax returns.

    • Manage clients' taxation and other compliance obligations, and support them in their future plans.

    Essential skills include:

    • 5 years' experience in a professional practice or corporate environment.

    • Excellent client management and communication skills and ability to develop strong client relationships – an authentic, genuine interest in clients.

    • High skill levels in business communication and teamwork.

    • Committed to growth and learning (including continuing professional development).

    • Strong attention to detail and good work ethic.

    • Demonstrated skills in problem-solving.

    • Demonstrated skills in workflow management, prioritisation and organisation.

    • Experience in providing informative financial reporting in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.

    • Experience and understanding of client tax compliance obligations.

    • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office 365, financial reporting applications and Xero.

    • Bachelors degree in accounting

    • CA/CPA qualification preferred, or working towards obtaining

    Desirable skills include:

    • Demonstrated skills in client relationship building, development and sales experience.

    • Business development skills (i.e. developing the PrincipleFocus business)

    • Business development skills (i.e. developing client businesses – e.g. business & strategic planning, development of business models, budget preparation).

    • Experience with practice management software, specifically FYI.

    • Experience with management accounting and reporting.

    • Experience in SMSF administration.

    • Experience in writing complex tax advice.
